What's My Opinion?
Did Scribes have the most important occupation in ancient Egypt? In my opinion the answer is no. I think all of the jobs are equally important. All of the jobs are like a scale. They all need and rely on each other. Without farming you would have not food and everyone would die of starvation. If there weren't any physicians there would be poor health in Egypt and everyone would probably die of disease. If there weren't merchants the country would not have any power and the country would be poor. Without craftsmen there would be no goods or clothing. If scribes never existed in ancient Egypt there would have been no form of writing and people would have had to rely on each others brains which is not very accurate sometimes. Priests and Nobels were important for religious purposes. The pharaoh was important because he made the laws and without him there would be chaos and war going on everywhere and all of the time.
