Priests and Nobels
Priests and Nobels were very important people. They served the Pharaoh or the royal family in some way. Some of the people were skilled engineers who designed the pharaohs tomb and high level governors called viziers. Priests were in charge of pleasing the gods to prevent natural disasters, famine, and droughts. Priests also interpreted Egypt's holiest book which is called the Book of the Dead. This book was a collection of prayers. These texts explained how someone can have a happy afterlife.
